Priority date calculator
Enter your priority date, category and country to see whether it is within the latest cut-off and, if not, what the history-based arithmetic says about the wait.
Important. The estimate only extrapolates how fast the cut-off moved in the past. Real dates can stall, jump or retrogress; being within the cut-off does not mean approval. Disclaimer · Forecast accuracy. Privacy: everything runs in your browser; your date is not sent or stored.
How the estimate works
- We read the latest cut-off for the chart you choose (Final Action Dates decide when a case can be approved; Dates for Filing decide when you may file, if USCIS allows it that month).
- If your priority date is earlier than the cut-off, it is within the cut-off now.
- If it is later, we divide the gap by the average monthly movement over the last 12 months, 3 years and 5 years. If the date did not advance on average, there is no estimate.
- We also show how far the cut-off lagged the bulletin month over the last 10 years, for context.
